Administration in Khopoli

Administration in Khopoli
Khopoli or Campolee is a small industrial town in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. The town is quite developed with all big city amenities which include roads, railways, well maintained houses and shops. This area is so developed due to its high industrial growth with all major plants present and also due to its proximity to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai cities.

The entire Khopoli region is ably administered by the Khopoli Municipal Council. This corporation is directly under the administration of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The MMRDA is the government body established in 1975 which is engaged in planning programs and promotion of new growth centres in the state, providing finance for infrastructural development in various parts of the state. Khopoli Municipal Council is being vested with the overall town planning and economic development of Khopoli.

At the head of this organisation is the Chairman, followed by the Chief Operating Officer. The Chairman of Khopoli Municipality is none other than the Chairman of MMRDA, who in turn is also the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The Chief Operating Officer is the regional head who looks after Khopoli’s administration. There is a 9 member executive committee who do all the planning and development along with finance maintenance of the town. There are various departments under the Municipal Council, all headed by the chief officer. These departments are;
  • General Administrative Department
  • Public Works Department
  • Sanitary Department
  • Social Developmental Cell
  • Town Planning Department
The Municipal Council is constantly helping the Khopoli town and its surrounding areas with well maintained roads, safe drinking water supply, cleaning of roads from daily garbage disposal and proper sanitation system. A wide network of roads is present which connects Khopoli with big Indian cities like Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and many other parts of Maharashtra. There is the central market developed by the municipality for the town residents, just beside the Bombay-Pune National Highway.

Khopoli town has its own family court and consumer court. To handle family matters like marriage settlements, divorce filing, rental problems or any other issues residents can directly approach the family court. Khopoli family court has many established lawyers to serve the locals with various family matters.

    Dear Sir,I am residing in Zen County, Nirvana Alive a residential Complex near Jambulpada in Khopoli, situated at Pali Khopoli road and next to Parli Village. I have a request to make. In our Complex we have population of Strays and they need proper care by way of Sterlization, Vaccination, Food and water. We have observed that due to non sterilisation of Dogs in the area, their population is increasing manifolds due to which people are not able to take care of them. Whenever, food is served many dogs fight for the same as that is their natural instincts.It is pertinent to note that The Delhi Court has expressed that there are no Laws that deny individuals from feeding stray animals. It further stated that feeding stray dogs is both Lawful and Suppportive. The Court in its statements in December 2009 and February 2010, has added that the stray pooches have to be fed with the goal to confine them to the areas they belong to and to encourage animal birth control and yearly vaccination. If we take care of the strays the World can be a better place to live in harmony and peace with no human animal conflict for future generations. This will ensure that we have no more strays, just happy and healthy community companions dogs.Kindly instruct concerned department to take immediate action to sterilise and vaccinate all the stray dogs in our complex which is a very large community complex so that, these strays can lead healthy and happy life always. Thanks & regards,Prashant Bhandare,Mob. 9967799001.

    Sir, I am Suvarna from Mumbai wanted to bring to your notice , the food plazas in Khopoli and around area are having lots of dogs unsterilised . As they do not get food it would be difficult if they multiply it will be difficult to manage. I hope they will take cognisance of this issue and do the needful. A stitch in time saves nine. e.g. if you today Sterilise 5 to 6 dogs ,it will be easy . But if each female delivers 6 puppies it will be difficult for you and people around to help. Please sterlise in time

    Sir, Dog sterilisation is required to be carried out on war footing basis in all over Khopoli. Population of dogs are increasing manifolds due to non action. Due to this reason dogs are not getting sufficient food and water. This is causing frustration among them and they start barking at people to draw attention. This is a dangerous situation for peaceful living together of animals and human being. For co existence and good relationship between both, population control is very important. Kindly pay attention and reply to me on my mail ID urgently. Thanks and regards, Prashant Bhandare.Mob.no.9967799001.

    As it has been only 3 months for me I have stepped into this city seeing lot of garbage in areas around (Katrang D P Road). Khopoli is such a small area and government is doing its work but still the cleanliness position is worst. I am watching in my area Katrang D P Road, opp chandan super Market daily nagar parishad 2 or 3 van or even truck coming daily still people are not throwing there garbage in their van . They are throwing their garbage on streets or in the vacant land infront of them.So fault is not on government but its on those people who are careless and donot have civic sense.. Kindly take some action on them might be fining them and giving them warning can help the issue.The area near by that garbage plot is contaminated with germs, sting badly and water is being contaminated which seeps down and reused by all of us as ground water which goes in our tank.Pigs are really another issue which are staying near our building Vaibhav Pride and are very dirty they should be removed from here soon as many flue from them can be caused.

    Hi,I am a resident of samarathil nagar ,khopoli.The problem we ,the residents of samarathil nagar face is of open defication on the open plot opposite to the krantinagar entrance gate area ,on the patankar chiak katrang road .The authorities should take note of this because open defication is a very serious problem which if un attended would lead to serious health issues.The most asking fact is the plot also has a water tank and children and often adults defecate in open in the nearby premise of the tank. Also the resident of samarathil nagar on the east facing side face problems due to this.we are concerned fir our health .It is our right to live in clean and healthy environment.Even after 2 years of search bharath abhiyaan, the problems of krantinagar people haven't been addressed properly.

Roads must be repaired and constructed in all the muddy areas of khopoli like railway stations, bus depos, katrang, like roads of navi mumbai vashi area to avoid accidents Proper Garbage waste management must be done to keep the air pollution at reduced extent Dustbins must be made available near Mandir, Masjid, Gurudwara, Jain Temple, Church, Schools, Colleges, Public Places like Bus Depos, Railway Stations, Bazarpeth, Market, Residential Areas of Khopoli like Bhanwaj, Katrang, Veena Nagar, Lower Khopoli, Upper Khopoli, Shilphata, River Places of Khopole, lakes of Khopoli for managing the waste Street Lights must be kept on from 7.30 pm to 6 am for avoiding leg slipping and other theft problems Tree Plantation measure must be l

    Dear Sir/Madam, During past several months it is observed that after completing of mahanagar underground pipelines in veena nagar & all parts of khopoli. The two sides of roads situation is not good in veena nagar. many of vehicles are slipping & are meeting with road accidents due to poor road conditions. In rainy season the situations of road on both the sides in veena nagar area are in poor conditions right from gurudwara till I.O.C BLDG and katrang to veena nagar pool. Secondly i will right to tell you that the railway place, bus stop & public toilets of khopoli are in very poor conditions . Also my wish is that there must be water filters placed in lake of shankar mandir at upper khopoli. Please take strict action to make a khopoli neat clean in terms of roads & infrastructure.
